Wiltshire FA support over 1000 teams across Wiltshire with over 19,000 participants. Green Lane Playing Fields in Devizes will give Wiltshire FA, and the local partners, an opportunity to increase participation across the grassroots game and reach more people with the power of football. The facility will improve experiences for existing participants, but will also inspire the whole community to get involved in the game.

The facility will be home grounds to two local teams, Bishops Cannings FC and Devizes Town Youth FC who will use it on a weekly basis. It will also be a training facility for Devizes Town FC. 

The girls Advanced Coaching Centre will attend each week as well as other Wiltshire clubs and leagues including a business league, small sided football fixtures and Wiltshire County FA Cup competition matches.

Wiltshire FA will deliver coach and referee education and development courses and football intervention programmes on site for hundreds of participants across the County.

During the day schools and colleges will utilise the facility and The FA Peoples Cup will kick off a full schedule of events .

Sustainable football facilities are fundamental to the support and development of the nation’s game. The new football hub allows Wiltshire FA to better serve the entire football community strengthening the social and economic value of grassroots football in Wiltshire.

This new facility in Devizes is centrally located in the county and will offer more opportunities for players all year round with an estimated footfall of over 1000 individuals visiting the site per week.
