HILLS WASTE SOLUTIONS SUPPORT WESTBURY YOUTH FC’S SUMMER TOURNAMENT
Wiltshire FA partner, Hills Waste Solutions, has supported the Westbury Youth FC football tournament this summer.
Westbury FC’s tournament, which took place from Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June, hosted 166 teams from U7’s to U16’s, getting together to take part in matches and practice their skills with medals, trophies and shields all up for grabs.
Supporting the event, Hills Waste Solutions supplied skips to provide sustainable waste management throughout the weekend.
Neil Pollard, Divisional Director at Hills Waste Solutions said, “We enjoyed supporting the Westbury Youth FC tournament. It was a busy weekend for the club with an expected 1300 players attending from the local community, so we hope to have alleviated some of the stress involved in managing event waste, allowing club officials, volunteers, coaches, ha supporters and players can all focus on and enjoy the games.”
Prioritising sustainable waste management, Hills Waste Solutions operate waste facilities which sort recyclable and recoverable skip waste and make fuel for renewable energy plants with whatever cannot be recycled.
Last season Hills partnered with Wiltshire FA to raise awareness about how football can help address climate change. The Good Game, aims to work with partners to signpost the football community to ideas they could adopt to be more green, sharing best practice and offering suggestions with the ambition to collectively make a difference in Wiltshire. Currently seeking Good Game Champions, Wiltshire FA is looking for people who want to show their commitment to the environment. They don’t need to the experts, they simply have to be the person to ask questions, suggest changes and chat about sustainability in football, with the opportunity to attend the Carbon Literacy in Grassroots Football Accredited Course.
If any club in Wiltshire wants to find out more about waste management for their club or for their tournaments and events, they can contact Hills Waste Solutions here
