Doorway have launched a new walking football session
Come and take part in the fastest growing sport in the world!
Doorway, a charity that supports those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, or marginalised, has set up a new walking football session in Chippenham. This session is a slower and more gentle version of the game, aiming to support those who those who may feel isolated or who struggle to access services or support through mental, emotional, or physical health challenges.
The new session is completely free and open to anyone who would like to come and join. No prior experience of walking football is required, this session will be a great way to experience the fastest growing sport in the world!
If you would be interested in taking part in this session, you can get in touch with either Kev Long or Rachel Cornish, or just turn up! The session takes place one a Tuesday, 2:45 - 3:45pm at Ladyfield Evangelical Church, Hungerdown Lane, Chippenham, SN14 0BA.
Doorway also run a number of other projects, including a free for all, regular football session on a Monday evening. This session takes place at Sheldon School artificial pitch, 5:15 - 6:15pm.
