Paul Fox Recognised for 50 Years’ Service

Wiltshire FA presents accolade recognising five decades of service to the game locally.

For 50 years, Paul Fox has been connected to football within Wiltshire in one form or another.

To celebrate a remarkable five decades of service to the game, The FA have presented Paul with a Recognition of 50 Years Service to Football Award, which acknowledges the contribution he has made to grassroots football within our county.

Paul, current President at Wiltshire FA, who has lived in Wiltshire all his life, has been involved in the game since the mid-1960s, when he joined Westbury United as a player.

While playing, Paul would also join the Management Committee of the Trowbridge and District League which, today, he proudly serves as Life Vice-President.

Enjoying a playing career which saw him lace up his boots into his late 30s, Paul also represented the County as well as the clubs he played for in Wiltshire.

In 1986, Paul joined Wiltshire FA. During his long association with the County FA, Paul has served on many committees, and chaired both the Youth and County Cup Committees.

Paul’s connection to the Wiltshire representative team continued after he hung up his boots as, for 15 years, he managed, or acted as assistant manager, of the County sides.

On behalf of all at The FA and Wiltshire FA, we would like to thank Paul for his incredible service to the game, which has impacted so many involved in local football over those 50 years.

We look forward to the years to come!
