Wiltshire FA is proud to launch the Disability Football Fhampions project

This new initiative, launched by Wiltshire FA in September 2024, is designed to provide more oportunities for children with disabilities, aged 12 to 16, to take part in football.

Harry Russell, Wiltshire FA's Disability Development Officer said: "We want football in Wiltshire to be accessable to all who want to take part. This is why Wiltshire FA has launched this new project. This is firstly to increase the number of opportunities for children with disabilities to be able to play football; but also support the clubs who are setting up these new sessions. Its is important to us that the clubs feel they have the right knowledge to start something they may have never done before".

The project will allow clubs to recieve support from; a dedicated Disability Football Coach, the Regional Coach Mentor for disability football, Wiltshire FA's Disability Football Ambassador and Wiltshire FA's Disability Football Development officer. They will also have access to a bursary for coaching and numerous online learning resources.
