Youth Football Festival Success for Youth Council
The Wiltshire County FA Youth Council successfully delivered their first event on Sunday since reforming just a few months ago. With four new members adding to the existing two, the team of young volunteers planned, organised and delivered a successful Football Festival for u7s and u8s in Wiltshire.
Named the #ShootShoutShare Festival, the day incorporated 5-a-side matches for u7 and u8 teams across the county, with an emphasis on Respect and Fair Play. The day was also about promoting young people’s voice in football and so teams were invited to engage in some ‘Voice of a Child’ activities – all of which was met with a positive response.
With approximately 200 children participating, the event was a great success. In keeping with the focus of the day, all matches were played in a great spirit. Massive thanks to all teams who attended and to the coaches for their support throughout the day.
The Wiltshire County FA Youth Council is made up of 16-25 year olds involved in football in the county. If you are interested in joining the Youth Council, please email Lyndon.Taylor@WiltshireFA.com
